RegionsOperatorsmRgnWidth Method

Caliper (i.e. Feret diameter) along the minor axis of region.

Namespace:  MediaCy.IQL.Operators
Assembly:  MediaCy.IQL.Operators (in MediaCy.IQL.Operators.dll) Version: 3.1.0.0
Syntax
VB
<ExtensionAttribute>
Public Shared Function mRgnWidth (
	regions As McRegions
) As McMeasure

Parameters

regions
Type: MediaCy.IQL.FeaturesMcRegions

Return Value

Type: McMeasure

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type McRegions. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).
Remarks
For this measurement, the region boundary is oriented along the minor axis of an equivalent ellipse using the mRgnDirection measurement. mRgnDirection is a pixel-based measurement, so for regions created by the McThreshold.Execute method or McFeatures.SetFromMask method (features of Type mcftScanList), holes in the blob are significant. The actual caliper is done using the oriented boundary polygon, so that sub-pixel vertex locations are significant, as is the OptionFlags mcofOutlinePixelTiles bit. The smallest bounding rectangle aligned along the major axis of an equivalent ellipse may be gotten from the mRgnLength, mRgnWidth and mRgnDirection.
