Output
The Output options determine where your surface plot settings and information will be directed.
Image: Clicking this button creates the surface plot in a new Image-Pro workspace. This function creates the surface plot in the same size as the original image. It is a good idea to create a new image when you want to save or print the surface plot, because in this case the surface plot has maximal resolution.
Clipboard: Clicking this button sends your surface plot information to the Windows clipboard, where it can be pasted into other applications that accept data from the clipboard.
Animation: This tool allows you to create an animation of the surface plot gradually tilting from one perspective to another. When you click this button, you will see the Surface Plot Animation dialog box. It has the following options:
- Rotation direction: Select the desired direction of rotation for the animation -- either from side to side (Horizontal) or top to bottom (Vertical).
- Number of steps: Indicate how many frames should be part of the animation. The more frames you use, the larger the resulting file but the smoother the animation.
- Angle range: Indicate how much rotation you want to animate. You can rotate the surface plot from 1 degree to 360 degrees.
- See-saw animation: Check this box to have Image-Pro divide the steps into two phases -- half will rotate in one direction and the other half will rotate in the opposite direction back to the starting point.
