Zoom
Image-Pro provides several options for zooming in and out on your images. These can be accessed from the Zoom group on the Image ribbon.
Pan: The Pan tool
is used to position an image that does not fit entirely within the image
window. It
is an alternative to using the arrows on the scroll bars for positioning
the image within the window.
Click on the Pan tool to make the Pan feature active. When
the Pan feature is active, click and drag the image in its window to view
portions of the image that are otherwise outside of the visible field.
To deactivate
the Pan feature, click on the tool again.
Zoom: The Zoom
tool is used to magnify or reduce the appearance of the image in the window.
The Zoom
Tool does not change the actual size of your image in terms of spatial
resolution; it simply enlarges or reduces your view of the image by the
specified percentage.
Click on the Zoom tool to make the Zoom feature active. When
the Zoom feature is active, click on the area of the image you want to
see enlarged. Image-Pro
centers the image in the image window according to the point you clicked,
and it enlarges the image by approximately 50%. NOTE:
You can also zoom out on the image using this tool by holding down the
<Shift> key while you click the mouse. To
deactivate the Zoom feature, click on the tool again.
Local Zoom: Click here for more information.
Lock: The Lock tool allows you to temporarily disable the Zoom and Pan/Scroll tools, and you can also use it to ensure that the currently active image remains the currently active image. This can be useful if, for example, you have achieved an ideal view of the image data and you want to preserve that view while you do other operations in Image-Pro.
