TWAIN
Image-Pro with Capture Module Only
This tool allows you to connect to a TWAIN-compliant imaging device, such as a scanner or camera, in order to acquire images from it.
Note: Before using this command, be sure and select the device you want to use through the Choose Device command (described below). The Acquire tool always connects Image-Pro with the currently selected source device.
When you click on the Acquire tool, a dialog box appears that allows you to interface with the source device. The dialog box varies for every device, but it typically provides settings that allow you to control the device and a button or command that allows you to initiate image acquisition from the device. For more information about the dialog box that appears, consult the documentation of the source device.
This tool has two pull-down options:
- Acquire Many
- Choose Device
Acquire Many
TWAIN by default captures one image and closes its dialog. This option allows multiple images to be captured.
Choose Device
This command allows you to select a TWAIN-compliant imaging device from which you can import images into Image-Pro. TWAIN-compliant source devices include, for example, scanners and cameras. When you click on the TWAIN Source command, Image-Pro prompts you to select one of the available devices.
Note: If the list box is empty, as shown above, check to make sure the device you want to use is correctly connected to your computer.
To select a source device, click on it in the list box and click Select. The selected device is the device that Image-Pro will use whenever you click on the Acquire tool.
