Ordering Annotations

In the event annotations overlap in the overlay, the Annotation feature allows you to control the order in which annotations appear.  Annotations are ordered in the overlay initially according to the order in which they were added.  To manipulate that order, you can use the Move Forward and Move Backward tools.

To change the order in which an annotation appears:

Click the Select tool in the Annotate group.

Click on the annotation you want to relocate in the order.

For example, annotation #3 has been selected below.

In the Annotate group, click on the Move Forward or Move Back tool.

For example, to move annotation #3 behind #2 but in front of #1, click on the Move Back tool.
