Geometry

The geometry options allow you to control the size and projection setting for the currently-active surface plot.

Increase: Click this tool to increase the height of the surface plot, that is, to stretch the X axis.

Decrease: Click this tool to decrease the height of the surface plot, that is, to contract the X axis.

Reset Height: Click this tool to set the height of the X axis to its default setting.

Perspective: This option is mutually exclusive with the Orthogonal option.  Perspective projection distorts the X, Y, and Z scales to provide a vanishing point perspective view of the 3-D image.  For example, the distance between the markers on the axes seem to contract as they get 'farther away'.

Othogonal: This option is mutually exclusive with the Perspective option.  Orthogonal Projection renders the 3-D image without distortion.  (See Perspective Projection for more information.)

Presets: Click on this tool to display a list of preset projection options.  There are presets to show an top-down view ("XY Projection"), a frontal view ("ZY Projection"), and a side view ("XZ Projection").  The "Tilted" option is the default 'aerial' view.
