Clipboard

Paste: Use the Paste tool to place the contents of the Windows Clipboard into the active report at the current cursor location.

Before you can execute the Paste command, you must have copied or cut data to the Windows Clipboard. Data cut or copied to the Windows clipboard from Image-Pro or from other Windows application can be pasted into your reports. If there are no data on the Clipboard, the Paste command will not be active.

Cut: Use the Cut tool to remove the currently selected data from the report and copy it to the Windows Clipboard.  The copied data can then be pasted elsewhere in the current report or into another Image-Pro report using the Paste or Paste Special tool. Once in the Windows Clipboard, the text can also be pasted to other Windows applications.

Copy: Use the Copy tool to copy the currently selected data to the Window Clipboard.  The copied data can then be pasted elsewhere in the current report or into another Image-Pro report using the Paste or Paste Special tool. Once in the Windows Clipboard, the text can also be pasted to other Windows applications.

Paste Special: Use the Paste Special tool to access options for pasting text in special formats. When you click on this tool, the Paste Special dialog box is displayed.

You can select from the following options:

  • Paste: Pastes the text according to the default format (the same as using the Paste command).
  • Formatted text (RTF): Pastes the text using RTF formatting standards. RTF might best be described as a "universal word-processing format," as it is supported by just about every word processor. However, unlike plain text, it retains basic formatting information, like font sizes and styles.
  • Formatted text (XAML): Pastes the text using XAML formatting standards.
  • Unformatted text: Pastes the text as plain text, without retaining the original's formatting or styles. When this option is selected, the pasted text adopts the style that is active at the place where it is pasted.
