Page Setup
The Page Setup group provides controls that allow you to adjust the attributes of the pages of your reports. Using these controls, you can adjust the margins, orientation, paper size, column arrangement, and more. See a description of each available option below.
Margins: Click on this tool to show the drop-down menu of margin options.
If one of the common options meets your needs, simply click on it to apply it to your report pages. If you want to define custom margins, click on "Custom Margins". The Page Setup dialog box appears.
Use the Top, Bottom, Left, and Right spin boxes to define the desired margin setting, then click OK.
Orientation: Use this tool to change the orientation of the page. Click on the Orientation tool and select the orientation you want to apply to the report, Portrait or Landscape.
Size: Click this tool to change the paper size of the report. For example, through this tool, you can change the page size to Letter, Legal, or A4.
Columns: Click this tool to add columns to your report. A drop-down menu is displayed.
If one of the common column options meets your needs, simply click on it to apply it to your report pages. If you want to define custom columns, or access other column presets, click on "More Columns". The Columns dialog box appears.
Select one of the presets at the top of the dialog box, or use Number of columns and Width and spacing controls to define a custom column definition.
Breaks: The Breaks tool allows you to insert page and section breaks into your report. A drop-down menu is displayed.
Select the kind of break you want to insert and the break will be inserted at the current cursor location in the report.
Note: The difference between a "Page" break and a "Section" break is that, if you create different sections in a document, you can define different page layout options for each section. Page breaks do not mark the end of sections for the purposes of applying page
layout options.
Line Numbers: This tool allows you to apply line numbers per paragraph to your document. The following options are available in the tool's drop-down menu:
Continuous: Select this option to apply line number per paragraph continuously from the first paragraph of the document to the last, ignoring all page and section breaks.
Restart Each Page: Select this option to have Image-Pro start the line numbering at "1" at the start of each new page.
Restart Each Section: Select this option to have Image-Pro start the line numbering at "1" at the start of each new section in the report. See Breaks above for more information about section breaks.
Suppress Line Numbers for Current Paragraph: This option is only relevant if line numbering is currently enabled in the document. Put your cursor anywhere in the paragraph for which you want line numbering suppressed, and click on this option to suppress line number for that paragraph.
Line Numbering Options: Click this option to display the Line Numbers dialog box. This dialog box provides more options for controlling line numbering in your document.
