Background
Use the tools in the Background group to make adjustments to the background of your image. These tools can be used to better distinguish image background from image objects, making it easier to isolate the objects during a counting or measurement operation. For example, they can be used to correct uneven background intensities, and compensate for irregularities due to uneven lighting, nonuniform camera response or minor optic imperfections, or they might be used to remove evidence of dust on the lens, or to correct for bright spots caused by the light beneath the microscope's stage.
