Camera Control Dialog — Save to File Options

Image-Pro with Capture Module Only

The Save to File Options group is a section of the Camera Control dialog.  The controls in this group allow you to have Image-Pro automatically save acquired images to a hard drive or network location.

Save captured images to file:  Put a check in this box if you want Image-Pro to automatically save all captured images, as they are captured, to a location on your hard drive or network.  If selected, captured images and image sequences will be saved to the specified location according to the options selected in the Format, Compression, and Quality controls.

Browse: Click the Browse button to display the Browse for Folder dialog box.  Through the Browse for Folder dialog box, you can navigate to and select a target location for captured images.  Captured images will be stored to this location automatically whenever the Save captured images to file checkbox is selected.

Format: From this pull-down list box, save the image format in which you want captured images saved..

Compression: Some image formats allow you to select compression options.  Compression makes images smaller, but it can effect image data.

Quality: This option is available for JPEG images.  The JPEG format is a compressed image format; the Quality control allows you to specify how much compression to use.  The higher the number, the less compression and the better the quality.

Prompt for filename after capture: Check this checkbox to have Image-Pro prompt you whenever you capture images or images sequences so that you can provide a name for the file to be saved.  If you leave this checkbox unchecked, files will be automatically named according to the settings of the Naming Options dialog.
