Camera Control Dialog — Capture Enhance

Image-Pro with Capture Module Only

The Enhance group is a section of the Camera Control dialog.  This group of controls allows you to make image enhancement adjustments to the live preview and/or captured images.

Gain: The Gain slider allows you to set how much digital gain is used for the live preview and captured images.  Increasing the Gain brightens the image, but it also adds noise. The notch appearing between the sliders represents the default setting for your camera.

Offset: The Offset slider allows you to adjust the vertical and horizontal offset of the capture device for the live preview and captured images.  The notch appearing between the sliders represents the default setting for your camera.

Gamma: The Gain slider allows you to set the gamma to be used for the live preview and captured images.  Increasing the Gamma increases the contrast in the image. In the example below, gamma has been decreased from the original.

The notch appearing between the sliders represents the default setting for your camera.

Lock: The "Lock" icons determine whether the associated setting should be applied to both captures and the live preview window ("Locked"), or whether the setting should be able to be set independently on the "Preview" tab and "Capture" tab and be applied independently for captures and the live preview window ("Unlocked").   Note that the lock icons only appear if the Display Advanced Capture Settings checkbox is selected at the bottom of the Camera Controls dialog box.
