Copy

Use the tools in the Copy group to save, print, or copy graphs and data sets displayed in the Advanced Display window.  There is also a tool that allows you to transfer graphs and tables directly to Microsoft Excel.  The tools in the Copy group are described in detail below.

Copy: Copies whatever is currently displayed in the Advanced Display window to the Windows Clipboard.  If either the Measurements or Table view is selected, the displayed data is copied to clipboard as text. From there, the data can be pasted into any application that accepts text from the Clipboard.  If the Graph view is displayed, the current graph is copied to the Windows clipboard as a bitmap.  From there, the data can be pasted into any application that accepts bitmaps from the Clipboard.

Excel: Copies whatever is currently displayed in the Advanced Display window to a new spreadsheet in Excel.  If either the Measurements or Table view is selected, the table of data is copied to Excel. If the Graph view is displayed, the current graph is copied to Excel as a bitmap.

Save: Allows you to save the currently displayed contents of the Advanced Display window.  If either the Measurements or Table view is selected, Image-Pro displays the standard Windows Save dialog box, prompting you for the file name and location at which to save the data.  If the Graph view is displayed, the Image Export dialog box is displayed. This dialog box allows you create an image of the Line Profile window as it currently appears.

To do this:

  1. Use the dimension, format, and other controls to define the kind of image you want to store.
For example, to create a good quality JPEG image of the Line Profile window that is 800 x 600 pixels:
  2. Check the Use control dimensions checkbox.
This tells Image-Pro to use the defaults for Width and Height.
  3. Select "Raster Image" in the Image format pull-down list box.
  4. In the Raster format pull-down list box, select "JPEG."
You could also select Bitmap, TIFF, GIF, and other common formats.
  5. In the Bits per pixel pull-down list box, select 32.
This tells Image-Pro to create a JPEG with a bit depth of 32.
  6. In the Quality (JPEG) spin box, set it to "100."
This tells Image-Pro to create the best-possible quality JPEG.
  7. Click the Save to File button.
The Save As dialog box is displayed.
  8. Specify a storage location and file name for the image; then click Save.
The Save As dialog box is dismissed and the file is created and stored.
  9. Click the Close button on the Image Export dialog box.

Print: Select this option to print the current contents of the Line Profile window.  When you click this option, the standard Windows Print dialog box appears. Select the desired printer and options, then click OK.
