Extracting a Sequence from an Image Set

After you have opened an image set to the application workspace, Image-Pro provides a group of controls that allow you to extract the individual sequences that compose the image set.

To extract a sequence from the current image set:

Click on the desired instances of the dimension(s) other than the one you want to extract.

For example, suppose you want to extract the time-lapse sequence for a given channel of a given slice of the Z-stack. Then, in this step, you would click on the desired channel in the "C:" row and the desired slice in the "Z:" row.

Select the dimension you want to extract.

For example, if you want to extract the time-lapse sequence, you would click on the "T:" in the image set controls.

Click the Extract Dimension tool.

The extracted image sequence appears in the application workspace as a new sequence file.

Use the Save As command in the File menu to save the image sequence file.
