Adding a Free Module or Extension to a Bundle

Additional modules or extensions can be purchased and added to an Image-Pro bundle at any time.

A bundle consists of the Image-Pro base product combined with additional modules or extensions.

Modules and extensions can only be accessed after being added to an bundle that includes the base product.

Free modules or extensions can be added to a bundle online after signing-in to your 'myMediaCy' account or using the License Manager.

Adding a module to an Unlinked Image-Pro bundle.

Open the License Manager.

There are several ways to access the License Manager.

  • Open an unlicensed copy of Image-Pro during the trial period, and select the Access License Manager option.

  • Open an unlicensed copy of Image-Pro outside of the trial period — the License Manager will open automatically.

  • Open a licensed copy of Image-Pro and select License Manager from the Help menu (located in the top right of the application).

In the dialog that opens, you can either:

  • Sign into your myMediaCy account by entering your user-name and password.

  • Enter an unlocking code (ULC). Unlocking codes are delivered by e-mail (in the case of e-delivery) or can be found inside your Image-Pro packaging (in the case of physical delivery). You can enter the ULC for your base product or for your free module or extension. Click ‘Continue’.

Option 1. Starting with the module.

  1. Find your free module in the My Unlinked Licenses table of the License Manager.

  2. Click +Bundle.

    The Select Bundle dialog opens.

  3. If you see the bundle to which you wish to link the module, select it in the dialog.

    If you your bundle is not shown, select Find My Bundle and enter the unlocking code (ULC) of bundle.

  4. Click OK.

  5. The License Manager will update. The module is now part of the bundle.

Option 2. Starting with the bundle

  1. Find your bundle in either the My Unlinked Licenses table of the License Manager.

  2. Click +Module.

    The Select Module dialog opens.

  3. If you see the module that you wish to add to the bundle, select it in the dialog.

    If your module is not shown, select Find My Module and enter the unlocking code (ULC) of the module.

  4. Click OK.

  5. The License Manager will update. The module is now part of the bundle.

You can now link the bundle.

Online Targets

Note: If your license bundle is linked to a dongle, ensure that it is connected to your computer and the dongle light is on.

  1. Find your bundle in the My Linked Licenses table of the License Manager.

  2. Click +Module.

    The Select Module dialog opens.

  3. If you see the bundle that you wish to add to the bundle, select it in the dialog.

    If your module is not shown, select Find My Module and enter the unlocking code (ULC) of the module.

  4. Click OK.

  5. The license manager updates to show that the module is now part of the Image-Pro bundle and will be accessed the next time you open Image-Pro.

Offline Targets

Adding a Module to a Bundle Linked to an Offline Dongle

To update a license linked to a dongle connected to an offline computer move the dongle to an internet connected computer and complete the online process (described above) before returning the dongle to the offline computer.

You must start the process by accessing the License Manager on an online computer.

Open the License Manager.

    The Save Response Dialog opens.

  7. Save the Update Computer file to a USB drive and move it to the licensed offline computer.

  8. Open the License Manager on the licensed offline computer.

  9. Select the Folder Icon.

    An Open Response… dialog opens.

  10. Navigate to and select the Update Computer file on your USB drive and click Open.

  11. Your module has been added to your offline bundle and is available the next time that you run Image-Pro.

Adding a Module to an offline license server

You must start the process by accessing the License Manager on an online computer.

Open the license manager and log-in using your myMediaCy username and password or with an unlocking code. Using your myMediaCy username and password makes finding all your bundles and modules easier.

  1. Find your free module in the My Unlinked Licenses table of the license manager

  2. Click +Bundle.

    The Select Bundle dialog opens.

  3. If you see the bundle to which you wish to link the module, select it in the dialog.

    If you your bundle is not shown, select Find My Bundle and enter the unlocking code (ULC) of the bundle.

  4. Click OK.

  5. The License Manager will update, the status of the bundle in the my linked licenses table changes to Update.

  6. Click Update.

    The Save Response dialog opens.

  7. Save the Update License Server file to a USB drive and move it to the offline license server host computer.

  8. Open the License Manager on the offline license server host computer.

  9. Select the Folder Icon.

    An Open Response… dialog opens.

  10. Select the Update License Server file and click Open.

  11. Your module has been added to your offline license server bundle and is available the next time that a client accesses the bundle.
